'Raksha Bandhan' is a Hindu festival which falls on Shravan month Purnima which is mainly in August month. This festival is celebrated as the brother-sister festival in India. This festival is mainly popular in India and its neighboring countries like Nepal.
The Ritual in this festival is done on Raksha bandhan{26th august 2018}The brother and sister and whole family wake up early in morning and take bath and wear new clothes. The family does Pooja of gods like Lord Ganesha, Goddess Laxmi etc.
Then after the pooja sister, a brother do the main function that is tying Rakhi to brother. The sister ties Rakhi in brother's Right hand and prays for brother well-being. And in return brother give the gift to his sister. Both then eat sweets and click photos of each other.

1.When Krishna cut his finger while fighting with the cruel king Shishupal.
Draupathi immediately tore off a piece of sari and tie on his hand to stop bleeding .
Krishna promises that he will repay the favor when the time will come and when Durayodhan tried to pull off her saree and embarrassed her .Krishna save her to get embarrassed.
That sari is considered as Rakhi and in modern times now rakhi is a thread.
